wonderful historical building in stone town
the hotel is an old traditional house in the very centre of stone town and with its traditional architecture is a real highlight. The staff at the hotel is the gem of the place, they make you feel at home. The breakfast included is top quality, varied and very tasty

Good location, unique building, facilities leave a little to be desired.
Nice central Stone Town location. Friendly staff.
It’s a very old building that is a labyrinth of steep stairs. We had lots of heavy luggage and no help with it. Our room was adequate and spacious, but we had just 2 threadbare towels for a 4 person room- we really just rented the room to take a shower before our flight, so it got the job done with plenty of hot water, but I would have been concerned if we had to sleep there.

The stuff helped alot
A very old hotel, small rooms. We need to walk more then a half kilometer to the hotel with all our belongings. There was an uncomftreble stairs to the room, without elevator. The eare is a little scery.
