Just some little things. Found it strange that at breakfast there were no teaspoons at the coffee/tea station. The spoons were located at the other end of the breakfast venue. Rooms had a do not disturb feature but not a make up room indicator?

The Horizon Club room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious with wooden floors and large windows leading to a balcony. Nice bathroom. Heaps of comfy lounges around the pool, with the bar and restaurant right there. 6th
Well, our room the first night was above a restaurant that was so noisy! It was supposed to shut at 11, but the noise was still going at 11.30pm. When we asked to move, the manager couldn't be bothered to come out to talk to us. The second night was the same, but the manager that night was brilliant. He changed us to a cheaper room for that night, as they were fully booked, and then to another room on the Horizon Club floor for the last 2 nights. Mind you, that room was a long trek down such a long corridor, but very quiet.

Marvelous!
My stay at Shangti-La was excellent! Ellen at the Reception Desk and your Bellman (a Canuck)who handled our baggage, couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful!!! Tell the Canuck, I apologize for forgetting his name, but I’m 68 and my memory is not what it once was or was it never that good for names, the latter!!!! In short, an excellent experience. I’m retired and travel a lot, primarily for pleasure! I plan to make Shangri-La my one and only Accommodation in Cairns. Thank you!
