    Great location, great old building, no window

    We loved that the hotel preserves the memory of the college that preceded it. It is an old building from the early days of Texas, and it is wonderful that the past is honored. At the same time, the hotel has been renovated, and the room is pleasant to stay in. The location is excellent, right on the vibrant riverfront.

    The room we stayed in faced an inner courtyard, and the only window was the room's entrance door, which we had to keep covered with a curtain most of the time. Personally, we prefer a room with a window. If you’re already renovating the bathroom, wouldn't you add a shower handler? And if not would you not add a shower cap for female guests? Elevator was a bit old and slow.

    Lovely 180 year old historic Victorian with great staff

    Lovely historical, well located home in charming Victorian Ferndale. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Beautiful grounds next door to the Hadley Garden. Just a block to downtown Ferndale and restaurants. Easy parking on property.

    Bed too soft for my back and not much in the way of room darkening…

    Enjoyable and relaxing. Great staff and very helpful in pointing out places of interest.

    The breakfasts were amazing very creative definitely not your standard fare. Farm to table all made from scratch.
