    Calming and relaxing with stunning views and quiet country sounds

    The arrival is down a short narrow lane. This is not a problem as it’s only access for a few cars. Greeted by Ian and the lovely dog Teddy. I was shown to the Shepherd to be given information on how things work and what was available for my use. I solo travel so appreciate being left to my own devices. This is not a problem as the owners do just that .I’m sure if I had of needed anything they would be happy to help. The Shepherds hut itself is immaculately clean and every thought for guest comfort has been taken into consideration .down to the finest details.little things like books, games, DVDs providing binoculars the list goes on even folding the toilet roll shows the owners care .The grounds are pristinely kept. With stunning views .And the bonus of the summer house for guests to use. The Woodland walk is only four minutes away. I would say moderate fitness level as there are some hills if you do the full loop. at night complete silence all you can hear is the wind in the trees. and the bed is very comfy. To end, I would definitely stay here again if you’re wanting a relaxing time, it’s the ideal place.

    Really lovely shepherd's hut. Spacious enough for our 2 night stay. Very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. I wasn't expecting there to be as much room as there was, but it was big enough for the two of us. Lots of lovely features and the sun house gave extra seating room. We were made to feel very welcome by the host. Extra bonus was the visits from Teddy the dog. Pauline advised that he would leave us be if we didn't stroke him, but his visits were honestly a highlight.
