A Beautiful Boutique Hotel – A Wonderful Stay in Hoi An! Shining Riverside Hoi An is a beautiful boutique property that makes exceptional use of its space. The grounds are thoughtfully designed, with beautifully maintained gardens, a lovely outdoor bar area and plenty of picturesque spots for guests to capture some great holiday photos. The swimming pool is a generous size and maintained at the perfect temperature to cool off after exploring Hoi An in the heat. Breakfast was another highlight! The buffet offers an exceptional variety of both Western and Vietnamese dishes, catering to all tastes. I particularly enjoyed the different Vietnamese soups offered each morning. A wonderful way to start the day! We stayed in the Shining Suite with River View, and what a beautiful room it was! At a massive 60m², complete with a private balcony, it was spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented. We absolutely loved it. Now, if I were to be a little picky, there is one thing I would suggest the hotel reconsider. Guests are only provided with one room key card, which means the air-conditioning and electricity switch off when you leave the room. Given the generous size of our suite, it took quite some time to cool down again after returning from a day out in the heat. It also meant we couldn’t leave devices charging while we were out, which was a little frustrating. A second card or an alternative solution would make a big difference to the overall experience. The location is also very convenient. We hired a scooter, which made getting around incredibly easy, but a Grab into Hoi An Old Town costs approximately AUD $3, or you could easily cycle there if you prefer. Overall, Shining Riverside is a beautiful property that offers a wonderful balance of comfort, space and relaxation. The attention to detail throughout the grounds is evident, and our suite was certainly a highlight of our stay.
