    Late September in Menorca

    Ines, the property owner, was extremely helpful and immediately answered a couple of our queries - no waiting hours for a response . On arrival the apartment was very clean and tidy. The kitchen was very well equipped so preparing breakfast and the occasional evening meal was easily done. Personally I always find a washing machine is a huge plus, as you don't have to bring as much with you and you can keep your beach/pool towels clean. Location wise it was a few steps to the pool and there were 2 well stocked supermarkets less than 300m away. Likewise there were restaurants and bars less than a 10 minute stroll down the road. The beach was a little more tricky - the direct route takes you down 198 steps - yes I did count them! or you can take the longer route via the road, which is still quite steep. So worth considering if you have mobility issues. That said we did see a taxi rank so that could be an option. The beach is sandy and has sunbeds and pedaloes and gently slopes into the sea, so is ideal for children. Finally the resort is quite close to the airport so the transfer is short - providing a good quick start to your holiday!

    We didn't have any negative experiences - even the weather was fabulous with only 1 rainy day!
