    The staff were amazing. Very helpful and kind.

    Our room was river view but you can only see it from the small upstairs bedroom balcony and there is a road with scooter traffic directly in front of the balcony before the river. They moved us to a room with a better garden that wasn't so hemmed in and had more light. They also showed us a bigger 2 bedroom but it was very tired, dark and much more expensive. The pool deck is treacherous- although they have tried to cover it up. The spa staff were lovely but the prices were more than 4 times what everywhere else was charging so we took a grab ride daily to old town. Not sure how this is ranked a 5 star resort. I felt bad for the lovely staff who were very very kind and tried to encourage us to stay and spend our time at the resort but old town was so much more appealing.
