Fabulous and will go again
The property was very clean and had lots of basic equipment e.g. toilet paper, hand soap and even an air fryer!
Location is beautiful and a short drive to Alnwick.

Silver Birch Retreat
The caravan was very clean, cozy and homely. Well equipped kitchen. We only used the kettle and toaster, but facilities also included a microwave and air fryer. Good selection of plates / mugs / glasses / cutlery etc. Set on a nice quiet site within easy commuting distance to Alnwick and the Northumberland coast. Very good shower. Nice comfy bed.
We arrived on site after dark. The instructions given to find the caravan were clear, but unfortunately in the dark it was difficult to make out the colour of the caravan which was mentioned within the directions. The caravan had no number / street name on it making it difficult to tell if we had actually at the correct one. We had it confirmed that it was the correct caravan by a resident of the park who commented that he was aware of other previous guests who had had the same issue. There was a large stone with street name not too far away, but this was missed in the dark as there is very little street lighting within the park grounds. On confirming we had the right caravan we attempted to retrieve the key from the combination key safe. Unfortunately the key safe did not open and had to ring the owner. The first response I received from her after explaining the issue was along the lines of 'I don't know what I can do to help you, as I live two hours away'. Not really what I had wanted to hear after a long drive to get there. She did offer to phone the cleaner who lived near by to try and help. Whilst waiting to hear back from her, and with a bit of extra force from my husband we managed to open the key safe to gain entry. Inside the were a few things that need a bit of attention - curtains hanging off the rails in the living area (I am too short to try and rehang them and did not want to climb on the furniture), a curtain rail bracket hanging off the wall in the double bedroom and the curtains also in the double bedroom are a little too long and a bit of a trip hazard in the dark. I tucked the curtains under the radiator to keep them out of the way (see photos). We were unable to get the cental heating to work. We were requested not to touch the boiler, just use the thermostat, but that did not help. (I did not contact the owner for help / instructions).

Comfortable, clean and homely.
The most important thing for me is cleanliness and this lovely little caravan was exactly that.
There was nothing to dislike
