A good apartment, but the sauna safety issue and the property’s unacceptable handling of the disputed post-stay claim ru
The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had attractive views. The location was convenient for our family stay.
The sauna presented a serious safety concern. Smoke appeared from the wooden bench during normal use, and there were no written operating or safety instructions explaining that a separate infrared switch had to be turned off manually. After our stay, the property demanded EUR 1,500 by direct bank transfer for a disputed damage claim. Despite my requests, I was not provided with an independent technical report or complete supporting documents establishing the cause, responsibility and actual costs. The invoice also contained an unexplained calculation discrepancy. The subsequent communication was extremely unprofessional. The property referred to involving the police, claimed that I could face future problems entering Austria, and later wrote that I should never visit Austria again and was not welcome there. I referred the entire matter and supporting correspondence to Booking.com for formal review.

Herrlich
Danke!
