  Perfect balance of city and beach

  The location is great, right next to the big beautiful park and a short walk from the coast and beaches. Also very easy to travel into central Porto, doesn't take long at all

  Disappointing stay in Porto

  The house is spacious and is next to an attractive country park, through which you can walk to the beach. If you continue on the coast path you will find various cafes, bars and restaurants. The owner is responsive and communicative and helped with problems such as a broken shower head - though she had not mentioned the current situation of the house.

  On one side of the house a very large concrete apartment block is being noisily constructed. It takes up the whole of the view. The house has seen better days, and is one half of a duplex - the other half is derelict and next to another active construction site. One bedroom has a large heavy sliding door to the bathroom which is almost impossible to open. On entry, the house smells of mould. The garden is overshadowed by the new block next door, and is a neglected scrubby patch with a dead tree at one end. Rather unattractive, though improved after I removed the dead seagull.

  Nos tuvimos que marchar por el mal olor a humedad que había en la casa. Nosotros no pudimos dormir y tuvimos que buscar

  Un séjour agréable

  La maison est très jolie et spacieuse, à proximité d’un superbe parc et à environ 15 mins à pied de la plage. Les plages autour et notamment celle en allant vers le quartier Foz sont tops avec pleins de petits restau à faire à pied en bord de mer.

  Le revers de la médaille d’être bien placé c’est la circulation ( la maison est dans une superbe avenue amenant au front de mer), les avions avec l’aéroport proche et également les travaux dans le quartier (les bâtiments s’érigent à coup de promotion immobilière). C’était supportable mais pas calme. La maison n’offre pas de jardin en rez de jardin (c’est ma faute les photos étaient bien en adéquation, mais cela m’a manqué pour profiter du beau jardin à l’arrière). Les placards dans la cuisine souffrent de ne pas être assez ouverts, il y avait une odeur incommodante malheureusement. Pas assez vois pas du tout de placards ou armoires dans les chambres. Nous étions 5, les couverts ne sont pas assez nombreux.

  Wonderful stay!

  Lovely location close to the beach, and a short taxi ride away from the city centre (about 10-15 minutes, costing 5-10 euro) The house has almost all the facilities you could need, with a great kitchen. The communication with the owners went amazing, as they even made some recommendations as to where we can rent a car. They reply quickly and explain everything well.

  Unfortunately we felt like the kitchen area with the long table could use more comfortable chairs or a couch, and some more warm lighting. It feels like the house is a bit cold (in a sense of cosiness)
