    A unique place to stay in Smithville!

    Smithville Historical Museum and Inn is a very unique place and a charming place to stay. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful. Our room was very clean & comfortable. It was easy to find and had a parking space right there. We felt very comfortable staying upstairs.

    Historic brick Victorian just outside Kansas City

    Such a charming place! Loved the caretaker's tour of the museum and the house. He could, as he says, give an eight- hour talk on the place, and Smithville and Missouri. Actually, really fascinating history! Smithville is a charming little bitty town with a big history. The brew pubs that were open on a Monday looked lively and fun, but i just took a drive out to the lake and then came back and crashed. The AC is a lifesaver for a Colorado person, used to dry heat! The whole place is full of eclectic antiques and vintage items, the decor is charming! Generous bathroom, walk in shower.

    Een verrassend verblijf!

    Enthousiast huiseigenaar. Hij kan mooi vertellen over de geschiedenis van Smithville. Smithville is een rustig plaatsje waar je een heerlijke avondwandeling kan maken.

    Misschien iets teveel tierelantijntjes.

    This is a delightful and unique place to stay.

    There was no breakfast, but we had full use of the kitchen and the supplies, so we were able to make coffee and there was cream in the fridge. Everything was clean and nice. It is rather unique because the hotel IS the museum. It is chock full of history, documents, old photos and antique furniture. a little unusual at first, but we grew to love it as we looked around and read the history. It is a very special place, a one of a kind experience. Delightful.

    Maybe just knowing ahead of time what it would be like.
