  Absolute gem in the cairngorms! Both pooches and their hoomans enjoyed this trip and the cottage.

  A cozy cottage in the cairngorms, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with lots of walking trails around. This is a remote location for those looking for a secluded experience away from daily routine. There are several castles and standing stones to visit in the neighbourhood. The hosts were very friendly and even brought us fresh tomatoes, apples and plums from their garden. The cottage is dog friendly and very spacious. It is also well equipped, well maintained, self sufficient and very charming. The fire place was a bonus for the cool nights. If you are looking for a wholesome experience under the stars, look no more. The folk are friendly and the locals ever so welcoming!

  Perfect getaway location

  What a lovely home away from home! Anything we could have wanted had already been anticipated and provided. The rooms were beautifully decorated, there was plenty of space for two, the kitchen is very well-appointed with everything we needed to prepare meals. We slept wonderfully in total comfort and quiet, and it was an excellent base for exploring the area. Mahri and Jim (and Hamish!) were welcoming and considerate hosts: we were delighted to find a bottle of wine on our arrival. There's more we'd like to see in Aberdeenshire so we hope to come back. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

  Lovely spacious cottage with all facilities, easy parking and friendly owners, Great place to stay!

  We liked everything! The owners live next door and are friendly and informative. Inside, the cottage seems much larger than it appears to be from the outside - our daughter loved the fact that she could have the whole upstairs as her own, complete with her own shower facilities, Beautifully furnished, and everything worked (unlike our kitchen drawers at home!). Very comfortable beds, 2 shower rooms, well-equipped kitchen, and a very cosy lounge with plenty of seating. Easy parking. Gardens front and back with lots of birds visiting. The cottage is fantastic for stargazing on a clear night - no light pollution at all. Very quiet and peaceful location, yet within easy reach of the region's main tourist attractions, including lovely scenery, umpteen castles, distilleries, interesting towns and all kinds of beautiful walks.

  Nothing! This was easily one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

  Excellent break really enjoyed would love to go back

  Lovely well maintained cortage superb views very quiet excellent hosts downstairs bedroom with omfy bed shower with rail All these helped as I have disabilities could not have asked for more

  A perfect week in the Cairngorms

  Great location, comfortable and super clean. The hosts live next door and are very helpful and friendly. The cottage has everything you need for a great hiking trip in the Cairngorms National Park. Next year I’ll be back for some more hikes!
