Not recommended: Massive demolition noise starting daily at 7:00 AM and huge COCKROACHES

Terrible experience: concealed demolition work, pests, lack of privacy, and zero accountability We stayed here for 2 weeks for work, needing a quiet place to rest. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a nightmare from start to finish. The problems began even before check-in, when the host asked us to cancel the booking on the platform and pay in cash instead (which we naturally refused). During our stay, we faced massive issues: 1. Extreme Demolition Noise from 7:00 AM: This wasn't just a simple renovation. Right outside our windows, they were actively tearing down a building, throwing massive blocks and stones down a debris chute every single morning starting at 7:00 AM. The noise was deafening, and sleeping or even staying in the apartment was completely impossible. The host hid this fact when booking. When we asked for a refund, she refused, rudely suggesting we leave the apartment at 7:00 AM and sit in her friend's hotel lobby all day until workers finished! Because everything else nearby was booked, we were trapped and forced to stay. 2. Pests: We found huge cockroaches (one actually crawled into a shoe) and ants. The host’s response to photographic proof was simply: "There are no cockroaches 🤷🏼‍♀️". 3. Faulty AC & Privacy Invasion: The air conditioner was extremely loud and failed to cool the room. Furthermore, the host lives nearby, constantly watches the windows, and tries to control us, forcing us to keep shutters closed the entire time. When we politely asked for a slightly later checkout (2:00 PM instead of 11:00 AM), she demanded 10 euros per hour. We booked based on good reviews, but staying 2 weeks revealed the true reality. The only positive outcome is that Booking.com investigated and provided compensation on their end. The host, however, never apologized, took zero accountability, and offered no refund of her own. Future guests, think twice before booking here.
