Eccentric, but the staff is helpful. I would probably stay here again.
The breakfast was good but not outstanding. There is a somewhat odd feeling of faded luxury with furnishings and decor that reinforces that feeling. The living room of our suite featured a non-functional piano, a leather topped desk, a fireplace, a refrigerator and an espresso maker that seemed to have to be set on the floor to plug in. Odd, but strangely not off-putting. The grounds are extensive with a large garden. A pleasant place to stroll and decompress.
There were two paper cups in the bathroom in place of glasses. Also, the only way to fill a water bottle to fill the espresso machine was from the bidet. Perhaps slightly off-putting.
