    Overall, the apartment was great! Large top floor apartment with 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, toilet, living/kitchen area and private outdoor rooftop pool with outside dining table and small kitchen area. The private pool was the highlight. There are a quite a few restaurants close by and a supermarket. The tourist areas of Salvador are also not too far in a taxi. Luggage storage was available as we had a late flight after checkout. Excellent value for money.

    The WiFi can be unreliable. The apartment was in need of repair throughout. This can be seen on the paint, cupboard doors, rust on metal handles/poles. The apartment covers the whole of the top floor. There is a door to the stairwell and then another door to enter the apartment. Both can be locked however, they both need a key to open them and do not have external/internal handles. So for example, if you opened one door and left the key in it and let the door shut you would effectively be trapped in the stairs with no way of getting out. The first door did not look very secure in that it would not take much for someone to be able to force it open.

    Better than expected.

    The penthouse has a great view. Nice pool. White marble bathrooms.
