The facility was fine, but the staff and poor communication ruined it for me.

    Breakfast was good

My room had not been vacuumed and our thermostat was dead, so we were welcomed to a hot room to sleep in. It takes one bad staff member to ruin the experience and I unfortunately encountered him. He also had poor hygiene which made the encounter even less desirable. I requested a late checkout, and I thought that request had gone through and had been accepted. I was not notified otherwise. I communicated to the man at the front desk that I would be staying until 3pm so my kids could take naps and was willing to pay the additional fee. He then came to my room while my kids were sleeping, woke up my baby, told me I'd be paying for the full day, and I agreed to that. He then called my room and woke up both of my kids, but I did not answer as I was feeling with my children. He proceeded to come back up to the room and wake them up again after he and I had already discussed the additional charge and me staying until 3pm with my children. I was able to look past a few errors on their part, things happen, and I can work with it... but I had a unique situation and the man I dealt with refused to reciprocate that respect. I was very disappointed in our stay overall and my family and I will not be returning to the Sonesta.

Treated like less than a customer, very dishonest, and TAR!!

Absolutely nothing. Staff didn’t know how to do anything. I felt like the most unimportant person in the world when coming to this place. If you need just the basic accommodation you will be very disappointed. Got a deluxe king room and thought I was paying for a premium stay and it was the opposite. Room didn’t match price had rust in the bathtub and they told us it’s just rust it’s not a big deal. (These types of places have a class and that class is worth 35 dollars a night) yes? Then told us they had no more rooms to force the room on us, I looked online and there was several rooms available including the one we originally wanted which the front desk knew we did and still wasn’t offered it. So we found another room to stay and as we were leaving a maintenance guy said we may have a room can you look at it AFTER we booked another close to 10pm. Of coarse we left and doesn’t seem like we will get refund and we only stayed in room for 8 mins. Reported issue immediately and got not honest and fair results. We leave and still fighting for refund. This is robbery and everyone deserves to know this before spent money at a warlike this. This is a honest review. Currently still waiting to speak with management and was given multitudes and dates and still nothing. Every call they say he not here and know me by name. You be the judge..

Good room with lots of space, granting a stay in comfort without the amenities

It’s a beautiful entry. The lobby and where breakfast is. It’s very pretty. The tall ceilings and color scheme. Very nice. I felt very fancy.

The pool looked like it needed cleaned but it wasn’t slimy. It was stained I think. It was very hot in the hallways and elevators. Also in the guest laundry room. Either the ac couldn’t keep up or it wasn’t turned down to compensate.
