  An Unforgettable Stay – The Best Sunset Experience in Oia

  Our stay at Sophia Privilege Villa was wonderful, and the villa itself was excellent. It was exceptionally clean, with what I believe is one of the best sunset views in Oia. While everyone else was queuing in the streets looking for the perfect sunset spot, we were completely spoiled with our own private rooftop. We experienced some of the most unforgettable sunsets of our trip without even needing to leave the villa. From around 7–9 pm, we would simply relax on the comfortable rooftop mattress with a glass of wine and a charcuterie board, enjoying a private and romantic sunset dinner. It was truly special. The ground-level pool was another highlight. During the hottest hours of the August afternoons, around 1–5 pm, it was perfect for cooling down and relaxing while avoiding the strongest sun. We also loved staying in Oia with a car. The public parking was about a 10-minute walk away and we never had trouble finding a space or needed to book parking. Having a car was ideal for us because we enjoyed driving to a different beach every morning and exploring different parts of Santorini.The villa was also very well located for enjoying Oia, although it is worth knowing that Oia is considerably more expensive for restaurants and shopping compared with some other parts of the island. A special thank you to Deep, the cleaner, who was incredibly helpful and kind. He gave us the contact information we needed and also helped us with our luggage when we were leaving. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. The cleanliness, privacy, pool, location and especially the private rooftop sunset experience made it a very memorable stay. I would definitely recommend Sophia Privilege Villa, particularly to anyone travelling with a car and wanting to explore Santorini while still having a beautiful and peaceful place to return to.

  What I didn’t like The main thing that could be improved was the communication before arrival. We sent several messages asking for clear information about who would meet us at the parking area and how we could contact them, as we were arriving with suitcases and knew that Oia has narrow, busy streets. Unfortunately, the replies were quite generic and did not provide the practical information we needed. As a result, when we arrived, we had to carry our suitcases from the public parking area through the heat and busy tourist-filled streets until we eventually found the villa. This was quite difficult and stressful after travelling. Clearer instructions and a direct contact person before arrival would have made the check-in experience much easier. Apart from this, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the villa.

  Apartamento lindo, super bem localizado para ver o por do sol e para usufruir da caldeira de Oia. Uma decoração magnífica, tudo impecavelmente limpo. A piscina interior, à noite oferece bons e belos momentos de relaxe. Foi uma estadia magnífica, crucial para suportar o calor e a quantidade de turistas nas ruas e poder relaxar em Oia. Pedimos para deixar as malas mais cedo e foi-nos oferecido poder entrar ainda de manhã. A amabilidade e disponibilidade da anfitriã foi exemplar. Adorámos! Muito bom, recomendo.
