Beautiful setting, but the difficult location and lack of practical guest support made the stay frustrating.
The property itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and the room was comfortable and clean.
The biggest issue is how difficult the property is to access without a car. The shuttle does not run between 12:00–16:00, even though check-in begins at 15:00, so arriving guests may have to arrange their own transport or walk. We arrived after an early flight and ferry and ended up walking more than 45 minutes uphill in the heat with luggage. Because the property is so isolated, I expected especially clear communication and guest support, but our check-in was very poor. We were not properly welcomed or clearly shown how the gate worked. One night, after the shuttle had stopped running, we returned to find the gate locked, nobody answered the bell, and my boyfriend eventually had to climb over it to get us inside. There were also several smaller hospitality issues that added up: only one bottle of water was provided for two guests and it was charged, when I asked for another I was told to wait for the shuttle and go to a supermarket, and the listing says “coffee maker” although what was provided was instant coffee, with no complimentary water to make it. The shuttle also stops at midnight, and between 12:00–16:00 accessing Sorrento or food is difficult without a car. We even tried delivery, but drivers struggled to find the property. The location itself cannot be changed, but the hospitality around it can. Clearer arrival instructions, transportation support during check-in hours, better explanation of gate access, and more attentive guest support would make a huge difference.
