    “Cosy, Private and Full of Character”

    I really loved my little holiday home in Peniche. It gave me some much-needed privacy and time alone, and quickly became my own little holiday bubble — a cosy, cute, slightly worn space where I could just switch off and enjoy my own company. I could spend my days reading, crocheting, watching TV and relaxing without having to worry about doing anything or being anywhere. There was something really nice about having that freedom to simply do my own thing and enjoy those quiet, unstructured holiday days. Despite its few drawbacks, I genuinely enjoyed staying there and was grateful to have a space that felt like my own for those few days.,

    The one thing I definitely won’t miss is the noise. The walls were way too thin, so it often felt like whatever was happening outside was happening right next to me. I could hear conversations, people coming and going, music and pretty much everything happening in the street. There was very little escape from the noise, especially when I was trying to sleep.
