    The whole experience of staying at South Pacific Apartments Port Macquarie was awful.

    The cleaner was very helpful in carrying our bags when we were leaving. The after-hours manager(?), Borsch(?) came promptly when we rang him up.

    The property’s design is terrible. There is no lift and we had to carry our luggage up 50 stairs. The sign-posting of where to go is terrible. When we arrived at 4.10 pm it took us one hour and twenty minutes to get from the basement to our rooms on the top floor. There are many staircases to many different parts of the development and we made many false starts, unintentionally climbing other people’s unsignposted staircases, luggage in hand. We are in our seventies and the huge weight my husband was carrying for us gave him a migraine, turning our stay into even more of a nightmare. There was no one at reception, including at 10.00 am when we checked out the next morning.

    Easy check in check out. The beach is just across the road and it was lovely to listen to the ocean at night. The beds were comfy too.

    Great location and great apartments for a short stay

    Great location opposite Flynns beach and near to the shops. We stayed for the IRONMAN event so not there very long and did not use the pool area as we were too busy! Apartment was well appointed and comfortable for 2 couples (2 bed apt).

    Some of the administrative process around trying to extend checkout were not very helpful and difficult to navigate.
