    Nice, quaint lodging in Bennington

    The home is quaint and comfortable. Maggie, the staff member who checked us in and made sure we were comfortable was great. There was a pianist in the common room in the evening for entertainment.

    The thermostat was never able to raise the temp in the room above 70 degrees.

    quaint street; near to a few attractions

    upon arrival, garbage bin overflowing and brown stained mattress sitting beside it. Hostess who met us was very unfriendly. Place badly needs some updating; cluttered with Victorian decor that is sagging, carpet in room stained/dirty, dirt on stairs, cobwebs and dust layered ceiling fan/lights, peeling paint on ceiling and crown molding. Food for continental was hard and seemed old, oranges wilted and should have been thrown away. We didn't eat.

    Worst B&B (no breakfast) ever stayed in.

    Not much

    Carpet old, worn, filthy. Kept our socks on rather than walk barefoot on it. Bed uncomfortable. Dust caked on ceiling fan, would not want to turn it on. Musty smells.
