  Need my deposit back

  I was unaware of a 300 security deposit before I could enter as I had to book last minute, and I have never had to pay one before, and it should be included in the initial qoute when I paid( what if I didnt have a spare 300 I was told I couldn't cancel my booking, My mum ,daughter and I would have had to sleep in the street. I had so many emails from Them it was too much for me while I was driving and I was out of phone reception most of the day I didnt see the deposit I had to pay. The way they were getting me to do an ID check and license check everyone I talked to said it was a scam . But I had no where to stay and I was going to lose my $ 365 for the one night booking. I said to the guy when was I going to get my money back , he said its only on hold not take from my bank and I would get it back as soon as they have checked the apartment the next day, but I still don't have my deposit back from nearly a week now, and I sent a msg saying when am I getting it but there was no response. It took my 2hrs to finaly fill out the security check and by the time we got inot the apartment it was nearly 1am I am really upset with the way this experience has put my family into a position I didnt feel safe. I need my deposit back asap and with this hole experience I do not want to use booking.com ever again. I nearly want to ask for my money back for the room since I wanly there for 7hrs And the place was dirty , like they have never scrubbed the showers properly or ever cleaned the entry stairs. Also the trip hazard into the bathroom are dangerous and not to australian standards and I had to roll a towel so my old mum and young daughter did not kick there toes.

  Pleasant stay with bonus of 2 bathrooms however a few things did let the property down.

  2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were great

  Proximity to main road traffic noise was very bad, a bit of maintenance required eg shower screens don’t close, no pans for cooking, unusable kitchenwear- can opener, non working light in bedroom no lamps, need to update photos as all trees have been removed so no privacy from road, non secure building-main access door left open so anyone can walk into building as well as the garage and rain also gets into building leaving a big puddle at bottom of stairs.

  Stairs. Wasnt told about stairs until check in knstructions. No lift.

  That it was pet friendly & very comfortable.

  Excellent

  Very tidy. I especially appreciated all the detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment parking and into the apartment itself. Also loved having two bathrooms :D
