    Overall a great property.

Great house, with gorgeous garden and great facilities for what we needed. Lovely comfy beds and nice sheets.

My only issue was how dirty the floor was, socks and feet were very dirty after walking about for a bit.

Disappointing stay - would not revisit

I liked how easy it was to access, and the location was perfect for us. Our daughter lives about a 5 minute drive from the property so it worked well. The downstairs bathroom was lovely and the kitchen was quite well equipped.

The property is quite grubby. The pictures make it look nicer than it is. The garden area at the back requires maintenance, the decking was chipped and furniture was dirty. Bins outside were full so had nowhere to put our rubbish. The wooden staircase creeks loudly and its difficult particularly at night trying not to wake everyone up. There is a ring door bell at the front and rear of the property. The front is understandable. The back, this one was intrusive and was not disclosed when we booked. We covered it with a towel simply for privacy as we did not know if our private family time was being recorded or viewed. On covering it up, we got a confrontational email and phone call from the owner accusing us of having wild parties, she said the neighbours had complained and we had damaged the property at the back and in the kitchen. We were threatened with the police and she gave us 10 mins to get all the "unauthorised people"out of the property. There were only 4 of us there at the time of the phone call. We offered to speak with the neighbours to ask what the problem was and told her to invite the police for an inspection. She declined both. None of these allegations were true. Once we spoke to her on the phone and removed the towel from the camera to allow her to see the area and assuring her there were no parties (we were up the next morning at 5am for a wedding), she calmed down and told us to enjoy the rest of our stay and gave her consent to covering the camera back up. She then sent a follow up email thanking us for clarifying the situation. This put a real damper on our stay and for this reason we wanted to highlight the issues for potential parties prior to booking. I know it has better reviews previously but this is our honest experience. There was also a little box at the front door with a little "thank you for staying gift" - 4 chewits! :(

To expensive for the value, shame the potential is there for more

Location is great for staying with our dog. We were allowed to check in early which we really appreciate. It’s a nice house shame it is missing a friendly homely touch and needs some serious TLC.

The house wasn’t clean, kitchen utensils were dirty. Kitchen is not well equipped, oven is filthy. We had to clean the house ourselves and had a problem with flying ants in the living room for 4 days in a row. Sadly we were not offered a serious compensation a bottle of wine is not a fitting compensation for a house in this high price category.

    Okay

Nice modern feel would be good in the summer

Quite overpriced for what you get really rest of the house didn’t have as much character as you’d like for the price
