    Hoped for better

    Close to beach. Quite modern furniture

    Having to enter round the back with minimal lighting past the bins from the cafe is disconcerting. It's a basement apartment that was not mentioned so view from front is a wall. Garden view is a backyard overgrown with weeds and tired loungers left out in the sun too long. Noise from people in apt above is high - you can hear conversation, snoring and toilet use. Plus none stop banging as they move around. So not that relaxing. Bathroom tiny and wiring to shower looks home-made. Smell of previous dogs in the apt gets stronger the longer you are there.

    The apartment would benefit from reliable cleaners, but location was good

    Location was good. Apartment was roomy and had everything we needed

    The apartment hadn't been cleaned. There were smelly, used, wet towels in the bath and the bedding had not been changed. Contacted the owner who gave us the code to his other apartments, so that we could get clean towels. We found clean bedding and changed it ourselves. Despite promises from the owner to collect the used items and bring fresh towels, no one arrived during our stay. The owner offered £20 refund for our 'understanding', which we refused. It is worth noting that access is down a rat infested alley. There is ample parking on the roads, but all restricted to 90mins
