    The communication from the host was brilliant from start to finish - easy and clear instructions. The facilities were excellent: air conditioning in the lounge/diner plus two large floor fans (one for each bedroom) to help keep cool as the weather was around 35c most days. The kitchen area while small, still allowed plenty of storage space which enabled us have breakfast comfortably, and cook dinner on those nights we didn't eat out. The bathroom was nice and big, as was the walk-in shower (as a tall person, this was a big plus). The location was great - it was central enough (20 min walk to the port, 10 min walk to the beach) but also far enough away from the main centre, so evenings in particular, were peaceful. There are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants in close proximity so we were never caught short. There was also a lovely seated area in the garden, which looked beautiful, but we didn't end up using it because it was so hot and humid throughout our stay. Would highly recommend this as a base for a family to enjoy the beautiful city of Split and its surrounding area.
