  Nice Hotel; Great Location and Free Breakfast.

  Cottonwood was nice. I can tick this off my bucket list. The room was nice. The hotel was very clean. The free breakfast was fantastic. I only spent one night. I didn't have much time to take in the surroundings.

  I came to see Jerome. Jerome was a little underwhelming. It was more of an artsy community and not anything of its old copper mining town which I hoped for. Route 89A was a harrowing drive to get to Jerome/Cottonwood. When they made that road, they had to have been inebriated. Lots of hairpin turns going up and down the mountain. Tons of fun if you are into that sort of thing. But at night, pitch black, you really have to be careful. Very nerve racking.

  Horrific Management/Customer Service

  My entire experience was soured by the poor communication from the front desk staff, and management when it was escalated. I did not enjoy anything

  We arrived in the mid afternoon, booking a King Suite. When we arrived, we checked in and were given room keys. Upon entering the room, we realized that we did not receive the correct room. We went back down to the front desk to alert them to the mistake. They told us that it was not a mistake, that they were out of king rooms, and had booked us in a different room. We told them that we were upset that this was not communicated to us prior to entering the room, and arguing ensued which was very unprofessional of the front desk agent Alec. We requested a manager, and were told there were none. We requested a refund, and that we would not be spending the night there, as the room was incorrect, and the lack of accountability on the hotel made us feel unwelcome and staying would be uncomfortable. It was at this point that he said they would not be giving us a refund because it was within 48 Hours of booking. We were shocked, because we had not been provided the room we had booked, therefore the contract was breached. Alec did not care and causally told us we could call back in the morning. We left, and when we called back the next morning we were told a manager would be in by 9AM and would call us then. We never received a call back. We called again later and spoke with a manager who told us that the hotel did not make a mistake, and that we had not selected the room we did. This was a boldfaced lie. We had the print out of the booking which specifically states "King Suite With Trundle Sofa". At this point she stammered and told us that she would not honor a refund and if we wanted to we could reach out the general manager. We instead contacted booking.com support and they are getting us a refund. What a terrible experience, a complete failure of hospitality and management with 0 accountability. This hotel should be stripped of its Marriott connection.

  Best Hotel in Cottonwood!

  The rooms were set up very efficiently. It was the best layout I have ever experienced in a Marriott hotel. They were extremely clean. 10/10 would stay here again if I’m back in town. Staff were all kind and welcoming.
