    Some good. Some disappointing

    The staff, location and cleanliness were good.

    1) Our keys didn’t work so we had to go back down to the front desk to get new keys. Wouldn’t have been so bad probably if it wasn’t late and we weren’t exhausted. 2) After a long day in the heat all I wanted was a shower and to go to bed. The water was ice cold. This was about 11:30pm.

    Staff kindness

    I stayed with my disabled young son, staff was friendly and kind to him! After 3 days my son was giving high fives to staff as he rolled by. 2 people stood out as extra kind and patient, Timothy and Renee. Timothy went out of his way to speak to my son to make him feel welcome. Renee was the sweetest bar tender!!! She was kind, thoughtful and went above and beyond. She respectfully asked about our trip, my son is part of a medical research study at Duke. She spoke to me with interest in us and our journey. She celebrated successes with my son's treatment. Her kindness was incredible and Renee truly made our stay great.
