    Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, light and airy room. Beautiful decoration and drapes throughout the hotel. The owner was friendly and arranged a taxi for us going out in the evening.

    Google maps settings were not quite right as it took us past the hotel and we had to drive a mile down the road to turn around. The signage outside the hotel wasn't clear and the sign for Fish Fridays on the roadside gave the impression that the entrance was for a cafe/restaurant. Being told which table we had to sit at at breakfast time. We were made to sit in close proximity to another couple despite the dining room being quite large and there only being us and the other guests in the dining room. The waitress said we couldn't use the table we wanted as it had been set for lunch. At 8.30am surely there was time to reset it for lunch after we had finished.

    Lovely place to stay and full of history.

    The staff so friendly and go out of thier way to help you. Our 2nd time we stayed here (as family live near by). Will always try to stay here again.
