Nice house but needing some serious maintenance and updating
Firstly it’s important to say the house is nice and a nice treat to have milk cake and butter waiting and the location is beautiful however it’s does need a serious update The drawers in some of the rooms are broken and some unusable especially in the three bed bedroom. Some of the plug sockets didn’t work The oven door seal was broken The front door lock was do difficult to unlock and lock There was no key to unlock the double fire door and do if a fire we would not be able to get out of the fire door and struggle to unlock the front door The wooden work top round the sick was mouldy The showers were not draining well Large sac cloth rug in front room didn’t fit the space as too big it creased up no matter how many times we put it down again causing people to trip up Bottom step on stairs near front door was broken making it up safe The master bedroom off the lounge holds the water pump that is noisy and the floor boards in the bedroom above that master bedroom were so loose even the quietest steps sounded noisy Above the fireplace there were nails sticking out which were so dangerous that was concerning Some of the garden chairs were not safe to sit on as wood had gone rotten The gate to the property was falling off its hinges snd wouldn’t close properly The games room was ok but again needs updating as the pool table was unusable as it was ripped It’s sad as all these faults must have been known they are not faults that happen in a day and do it feels like they have been left
The property is a nice home it just needs some serious maintenance and updating It feels like things have just been left and not taken care off which is sad for such a nice house

Good location and facilities spoiled slightly by maintenance issues.
Self catering. Location was good for our purpose. Enough rooms and bathrooms for 3 couples 2 singles and 3 children
Some rooms were quite cold and one had gaps in the wall that let the wind in. Some things needed attemtion eg lights that were not working, a shower not draining properly. We have provided the information to the host so hopefully these things are now fixed. We left something behind and the host can't find it although we know exactly where we left it and can provide a detailed description, and a local address and the cost of postage

Great space for catching up with old friends.
The best part about this property is the communal living area/dining area/kitchen. It was a fantastic space that was great for catching up with friends and their families. The location as great too as it’s so close to Stow and acts as a good base for exploring other areas in the Cotswolds.
The dishwasher is probably on its last legs as it didn’t wash very well. Bit of a nuisance when you are cooking and cleaning for a large group of people. The steps down into a couple of the bedrooms upstairs are a bit hazardous.
