  Ideale locatie middenin de oude stad

  De locatie was ideaal middenin de oude stad. Het appartement was ruim en had alle basisbenodigdheden.

  Er waren een aantal kleine tegenvallers: - er was geen airco in de slaapkamer zodat het bijna onmogelijk was om te slapen gelet op de hitte; er is enkel airco in de living - het bed kraakte en piepte bij de minste beweging; - de tv doet het maar amper;

  I wouldn’t book it again and it was overpriced for what it was.

  The kitchen is well equipped and the be overall location in Salerno old town was nice, because there are no loud restaurants or bars in the direct neighborhood, but can be easily reached nearby. The living room is large and airy and has a lot of light and an open view into the square in front of it.

  There is no air-conditioning in the (small) bedroom, no mosquito screens in any windows, the couch is stained, the bathroom smells moldy and the place could use some fresh paint. In the square in front of it, a group of youngsters assembles at night, so there was quite some noise until very late. In June 2026, there was a construction site right next to the apartment, therefore loud noise from demolishing / renovating the house next door started in the morning @ 7:30 am and lastet until @ 5 pm Mondays to Fridays. Sleeping or using the terrace during that time was not possible. The host did not offer any reimbursement for that limitation of use and the communication was frustrating, not at all helpful.

  Very disappointed

  The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom was cosy. The cost was relatively low but in retrospect this was perhaps due to the negatives we note below.

  Three main areas: it had not been recently cleaned, hadn’t been well maintained and the location. Cleanliness: there was an unusual smell when we opened the door and we found black mould in the bathroom. There were stains on the sofa cover and some unwashed dishes in the kitchen cupboard. After we raised this with the host company, they offered to send a cleaner but this should have been done before we arrived. Maintenance: there were scuff marks on most of the walls (which hadn’t been painted in a while), the smoke alarm had fallen off and was on top of a cupboard, there was graffiti on the front wall and steps. Location: the square that the apartment faces had much more graffiti than in the photos online, rubbish in the streets and didn’t seem at all the cosy quaint location we were expecting.
