  Good but not great

  Great views. Peaceful. Nice kitchen, fridge, stove and bench space all good. Comfy couch and extra large flat screen TV. Nice big shower.

  The towels are poor quality and don’t easily dry you. Bed was too firm for me. Rules on when you can use heating is something I’ve never heard of before. The extra blanket had grass on it and a hair - re comment on not clean. These are not malicious comments, merely a honest review

  Relaxed

  Just far enough out of town to feel like you're a million miles away. Super relaxed environment. Very comfortable lounging in front of the fire. All facilities and more catered for.

  Dont go in Colder weather

  The location and the views. Awesome.

  No heater. Get there late and turn heater on. Didnt leave it on but did have electric blankets on o/night. Owners banging on door just after 7am saying solar batteries were low and they didnt want to turn generators on. So basically can't use heater in winter/colder months. Have to use wood heater. Tried lighting heater. Same model as the one I had for 15 years in WA. Could get going but then close door. Fire dies. Tried everything. Obviously Flu was clogged. Solar hot water took over 6 minutes to even get Luke warm. They then tried to charge extra for cleaning. The house was spotless when we left but considering there is no broom or vacuum to assist in cleaning, it does make it hard.

  We loved the location, a beautiful big deck to sit and watch the wrens, read or have a drink. Starlight Lodge had everything you need to be comfortable. Loved the serenity
