Quiet, relaxing home away from home.
It was clean, fully equipped with fun decor, comfortable beds and lots of wildlife viewing. Steph was quick to respond to any question we had.

The most comfortable way to see Joshua Tree
This is clearly the home of an artist, and such an eclectic mix! Inside the home and throughout the property, there was art to be found. This property is minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park. We had good intentions of visiting, and we did. Once. That might sound lazy, but we're familiar with Joshua Tree and, frankly, there's so much of what we like about Joshua Tree right here on the property, minus the crowds. There are two comfy and beautiful patios, one enclosed, so we could enjoy viewing outdoors regardless of the weather. Steph has also made the property around the home comfortable for birds and small desert creatures, providing food and two small, hidden water sources. We really enjoyed the resident population. We brought our food, wine, tiki cocktail supplies, and favorite music with us, and we were basically IN the park. There are plenty of provided board games and DVD movies, in case the Wi-Fi is having a bad day. So, our motivation to leave the property was...? Well, the checkout date was about it.

Highly Recommended With Some Caveats
A great location, very close to Joshua Tree National Park. A wonderful owner and hostess. Very responsive, friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of space except for the kitchen and toilet areas. The owner is a wildlife lover and therefore has created a small watering hole, which is easily visible from inside the glass porch. We were able to photograph birds, chipmunks, rabbits and even a snake, a striped Rosy Boa, who came for a drink. The owner is also an artist and collector of artistic things. Which makes for an ambiance of peace and fun things to examine. We loved the wide open space (5 acres) on one side of the house. . . a great view!
This is an older, kind of quirky, house. There is very little counter space in the kitchen. . . where there is oddly two sinks. The sinks kind of cuts the kitchen in half with the cabinets on either side of those centered sinks. Awkward to say the least. If you really love cooking, this may not be your favorite place. Also, the two toilets are kind of cramped and behind the bathroom doors. It's good that we are on the slim side. Saying that. . . you couldn't find a nicer owner!
