    We liked the area, the opportunity to walk to dinner each night, and the lodging.

    We had to purchase our own toilet paper which was unusual and hadn't been planned for.

    Great location right next to the harbour and a beautiful view from the front window. Clean. fresh, spacious flat well-fitted with comfortable furniture and equipment. Spacious walk-in shower. Two decent sized bedrooms and spacious lounge/diner with kitchen area. Dishwasher and washing machine. Public car park nearby with free parking as well as private parking on-site. Several restaurants and cafes nearby and lovely walks. Good location for driving to Aberdeen city centre and East coast. Stonehaven is a lovely town with a beautiful harbour/bay - well worth a visit.

    1st morning (Monday) I was woken by dustmen who were very noisy outside, otherwise not too bad for a street-front access in the centre of town (although there were a few noisy groups passing by late evenings). Enormous bin in kitchen but it didn't have compartments for recycling/other (although we were requested to use the relevant bins outside). Access to key difficult as there was temporary scaffolding outside - would have been difficult for someone with limited mobility. Heating was on when we arrived (early Sept) - a bit too hot - turned radiators off/down straight away but it took a while to cool down and opening windows at night was not an option given ground floor location.
