    Not a two-bedroom apartment – disappointing for the price

    We booked this apartment because it was listed as a two-bedroom apartment with a city view. We are two friends in our late fifties and wanted a private room each. In our experience, it is not a two-bedroom apartment in the usual sense. Downstairs, the "bedroom" is a bed in the open living and kitchen area, separated only by a board about the size of the bed. Upstairs, the sleeping area has no door, only a curtain. There was no privacy from light or noise, and none from each other. When we raised this afterwards, the property replied that the photos show the layout. The written description, however, says two bedrooms. The "city view" in this apartment is a small window at about knee height. The main room has a large skylight with no covering, so it cannot be darkened, and the switch for the upstairs blind did not work. The listing mentions private parking. The car park offered is not at the property, and it is closed from 22:00 to 07:00, which we only learned on the day of arrival. The property is listed as pet friendly, and our booking stated that we were coming with our dog. Our questions before arrival went unanswered until the day itself, by message and by phone. When we arrived with our dog to collect the keys, we were told that large dogs are not accepted. The dog was then admitted for an extra fee per night. In my opinion, for one of the more expensive apartments in Kraków, it is better to look for something that matches its description. I would not recommend it to anyone who needs two real bedrooms or any privacy.
