  Een aanrader aan zee!

  De ruime studio, met zeezicht vanuit je zetel! Alle comfort en faciliteiten aanwezig. Zelfs het bed was opgemaakt. Zeer proper. Centraal en toch zeer rustig gelegen.

  A very disappointing stay due to the condition, cleanliness and overwhelming smell of the apartment.

  UPDATE following the property’s response to my review: A very disappointing stay due to the condition, cleanliness and overwhelming smell of the apartment. The location is convenient and check-in was easy. However, there was a strong persistent unpleasant smell, the beds did not appear properly clean, the apartment generally felt dirty, and the shower head was defective. We tried to ventilate and clean the apartment ourselves, but the smell remained. With the windows open, street noise made sleeping very difficult. We therefore left one day early. UPDATE following the property’s response: I need to correct several factual inaccuracies. We did not check in at 14:00. Timestamped WhatsApp messages show that at 17:39 we were still with our local friends in Ostend and arrived at approximately 18:30. My “Everything is perfect” message was sent immediately after we found the key box and entered the studio, before we had inspected it. We noticed the smell, opened the window and went out. On returning around midnight, the smell remained and we discovered further cleanliness problems. Contrary to the property’s statement that we made no complaint during our stay, at 08:52 the following morning, while still in the apartment, I sent the owner a detailed written complaint about the smell, cleanliness and condition and informed her that we were leaving early. Our daughter also developed significant swelling around her eye; as stated from the beginning, we cannot say what caused it. We immediately booked alternative accommodation and left at 14:59, moving to a clean apartment across the street. The property’s public response contains factual inaccuracies contradicted by our timestamped correspondence.
