    Avoid at all costs, terrible location and awful host.

    Leaving.

    The booking process is out of touch, they require you to send a selfie holding your ID to a third party platform. I was not comfortable with this and offered to show our IDs when checking in but they refused. The bathroom was not very clean, there was someone’s hair in the shower and it was mouldy, we had to clean the toilet, and toothpaste on the mirror. The bed is like sleeping on a wooden plank, and the pillows were so thin and uncomfortable. There is no air con, only a little portable fan that is an awkward height so doesn’t blow air onto the bed. We had to open the doors of the bedroom, which consequently let in all the mosquitos. The worst part is that the bedroom is directly next to a MAJOR construction site. When we arrived it was noisy, but figured it would stop over the weekend. Had a late night expecting to sleep in, and we were awoken at 7am to an excavator moving building debris and digging what I assume is to be an underground car park. I contacted the host and Booking.com, the host said the construction was described in the fine print - ladies and gentlemen, it was not. The fine print says “there is some construction nearby and guests may be affected by noise”. Nearby is such an understatement. The excavation carried on until mid-afternoon so there was no chance to sleep in the apartment. The host was so unhelpful and uncaring to our situation. Truly my most shocking accomodation experience to date, and I’ve accidentally stayed in a nudist colony. The photo is the view from the bedroom, I wish I could upload the video to share the noise.
