  Great location but disappointing overall

  The cottage is in a great location in close proximity to the high street and shops with good parking nearby (permit provided). The main bedroom is spacious with a vaulted ceiling and freestanding bath tub. The mirrors all have touch on/off lighting around the edges which was very nice.

  The cottage wasn't as clean as we would reasonably expect which was disappointing and it lacked attention to detail overall. There was a lot of road traffic noise that wasn't blocked out by the windows and a number of maintenance issues as noted below that should have been sorted before we arrived. The toilet seat was very loose and almost coming off. The bathroom door squeaked loudly and needs oil. Two of the radiators had leaks and one wasn't working at all. The beds weren't the most comfortable and made a lot of noise every time we turned over or got up for the toilet. The bedding was thin and didn't feel fresh or clean. There were crumbs in the cutlery drawer and on the toaster and some items of crockery and glassware were missing. The coffee table had a broken leg / support and the front door needs some oil to stop it creeking when opening. Other things like only having one roll of toilet paper for 4 adults and no hand towel in the bathroom were also disapppinting. Overall, it was ok for a couple of nights but not for longer or a week. It looks really lovely in the photos but needs to be properly cleaned, maintained and equipped. If these things can be addressed it will be a really nice place to stay.

  Cozy wee place in the town centre with hot tub and nice kitchen

  Kitchen was huge and lovely . Hot tub was perfect!

  A bit tight for space in certain areas. (I am a plus size person but even my daughter whose a small child had some trouble with the corners) Not able to turn to get into bathroom without snagging the corner and no space to get out of bed on one side Which was very low to the ground, hard to get up from couch as low as well but comfy enough. Also don’t put clothes in the wardrobes they have a damp smell. Be better off keeping them packed in your luggage

  Not as stunning as advertised

  It’s in a good location in Morpeth

  Overall, our stay was quite disappointing. The hot tub - one of the main reasons we booked - wasn't working for around half of our visit. Although the owners did try to fix it, we still lost a significant part of what we paid for, and our request for a partial refund has since been ignored. The accommodation itself is also showing noticeable signs of wear and tear e.g the toilet seat and bathroom taps were loose, several hot tub headrests were missing/loose and the property didn't look as fresh as the photos suggest. Cleanliness wasn't up to the standard we expected either - we found a wet, foul-smelling pillow shoved in a kitchen cupboard, which was extremely unpleasant. Altogether the experience fell well short of what we anticipated for the price.
