  I booked and paid for the Deluxe Queen Studio, was given the Studio Apartment

  The location of the building!

  I booked the **Deluxe Queen Studio** for a 4 night stay, but on arrival I was given **Apartment 506**, which is the standard Studio Apartment. This is a cheaper, inferior room category than the one I paid for and specifically chose not to book. Paying for one room and being given a lower category room without any explanation is simply unacceptable. The problems started before I even got into the apartment. The self check in instructions were confusing and difficult to follow, making it frustrating to locate the mailbox and key. The building security staff were unfriendly and unwilling to help. I was also required to pay the property owner in cash, but instead of paying them directly I was told to hand the cash to the security guard in the lobby, which felt highly unprofessional. Apartment 506 was in poor condition throughout. The air conditioner barely worked, regularly cut out, and when it did run it leaked badly, leaving a large puddle of water on the floor between the front door and bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable, the fitted sheet was only double bed size despite the bed being a king, so it constantly came off during the night, and the pillows were stained yellow. Basic standards of comfort and cleanliness were simply not met. The bathroom was equally disappointing. The holder for the handheld shower was broken, meaning it had to be held while showering. The rain shower sprayed water in every direction instead of functioning properly. The kitchen was poorly equipped with very little useful crockery or utensils, and the Wi-Fi connection was slow and unreliable. The only positive is the location, which is within walking distance of many attractions. Unfortunately, even that was overshadowed by how noisy the apartment was. Despite being on the fifth floor, there was constant traffic noise. A small door beside the bed would not stay closed, allowing even more noise, along with dust and pollution, into the room.
