  The principal issue was the extensive roadworks immediately outside the apartment, with construction commencing at approximately 6:30am each morning. The disruption was significant enough that I ultimately stopped using the accommodation and spent the final four nights of my booking sleeping on a friend’s couch, despite having already paid for the apartment. I raised the issue with the property owner and explained when I checked out that the construction noise was the reason I had been staying elsewhere. Although the inconvenience was acknowledged, no refund, price adjustment or other remedy was offered. I appreciate that the roadworks themselves may have been outside the property owner’s control. However, significant construction immediately outside the property beginning at 6:30am each day materially affected my ability to use the accommodation for its basic purpose — particularly as I was in Helsinki for work and needed somewhere I could reasonably rest and sleep between working days. I asked Booking.com to review the matter and consider an appropriate partial refund or price adjustment, particularly in relation to the four nights for which the disruption resulted in my no longer being able to reasonably use the accommodation. I HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. I was happy to provide photographs showing the roadworks and their proximity to the apartment, together with my correspondence with the property owner and any other information required to substantiate my request.

  Very good location, close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. There's a nice park nearby. Host is great.

  Great host, convenient setup, superb location

  Super friendly host (very flexible and welcoming), perfect location for exploring Helsinki, everything was thought of in the apartment (laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, drying racks,…) making our stay super comfortable and convenient. We also slept great in the very comfy bed!

  Very cozy and quiet place! Bed is very comfortable and kitchen is very well equipped.
