    Outdated and far below basic standards

    Rooms were clean. The lady that served us dinner was very nice.

    The hotel is old, and you can tell as soon as you walk in. The lobby and dining room, in particular, are dark, and you feel like you’re stepping into a museum. For the money you pay, you get extremely little in return. At dinner the food is sparse and, in some cases, inedible. The salad bar offers very little variety (3–4 types), and the salads don’t taste good. The main courses are somewhat better, but extremely small. So if you don’t eat bread (or haven’t brought an extra sandwich with you), you’ll go to bed hungry. Breakfast isn't any better. Also limited options. And it was the first time in Austria that even the butter was inedible. In fact, it wasn't butter at all, but a dubious substitute that didn't taste like it came from milk.
