    Not comfortable for over 50’s

The staff were nice at check in

The location is ‘countryside’ as a neighbour put it! No restaurants no coffee places, far from anything until we found the 207 bus stop near by.The dim lighting! so difficult to cope with! Why is it so dark in there? even during the day. The bathroom is musty. There is room for a soft couch under the stairs, instead the people sleeping downstairs had rock hard stools.

    Very nice machiya

Nicely done up and clean, love the tatami sleeping arrangement, bathroom looking into small garden also a sweet touch

Location is a bit away from Kyoto shopping/going out area but good connection with public transport.
