  Sfeervol huis met prachtig uitzicht, maar wel prijzig

  We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Het huis is erg sfeervol, de keuken is top uitgerust en de bedden slapen heerlijk. Het absolute hoogtepunt was het uitzicht over de stad; we hebben prachtig van het vuurwerk kunnen genieten! De verhuurder reageert snel en vriendelijk. Naar Funchal centrum lopen is goed te doen maar de weg terug is stijl omhoog en daarmee erg intensief. Maar beneden prima parkeergarages. Kleine kanttekening: we vonden de prijs aan de hoge kant voor de huidige staat van de woning. Er zijn wat zaken los of kapot, de badkamers zijn wat gedateerd, bijv alleen filterkoffie. Ook was het zwembad in december te koud om te gebruiken (bijverwarmen kost €40 per dag, wat wij bovenop de huurprijs vrij fors vonden). Al met al een fijn huis en zeker een aanrader in Funchal, maar de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding kan scherper.

  Great location with a fabulous view across Funchal, perfect for enjoying the pool and evening BBQ with the sunset. Easy walk down to restaurants in the evening, with a Bolt back up the hill! Susy left a lovely welcome basket and was very helpful. Great to have a secure parking place in the garage too.

  Disappointed with second bedroom and bathroom

  Downstairs living area, dining room, kitchen and pool were all very good.

  Second bathroom too small with nowhere to put toiletries. Only one bedroom with a double bed so not ideal for two couples. Also on a very steep hill.

  Beautiful villa in a good central location, with fantastic hosts.

  The villa was so beautiful and fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Hely met us upon arrival and gave us a tour around the villa, explaining all the facilities to us. The property is on a hill but Funchal is very hilly anyway and the 10 minute walk into town got easier each time. As a previous guest explained, this is not a negative to the property but should be mentioned just for those with mobility issues or with small children. We did not request to have the pool heated but still found it nice to swim in after a long day out in the heat.

  I honestly cannot find a negative with the villa. Having a hire car was definitely a good move to get around the island and a garage was provided too.
