  Very central, good location. Would not recommend

  The beds were comfortable and it was quiet during the night. The shower power was good. The terrace adequate.

  A lot! My information explained that we would be met at the property, we weren’t. I contacted the host via the telephone and he stated that he would WhatsApp me the key pad code. I had to phone back twice more as I hadn’t received the message and on the third attempt he put the phone down on me! The message came through and we obtained the key but it was very difficult to gain entry. We were told that two of the air conditioners needed a new remote so had to be turned on manually. That being said the one in the sitting/kitchen area didn’t work at all and the one in the second bedroom we were able to turn on. ONLY because my husband had to stand on a chair (Health & Safety Issue, H&S) with a spatula to turn it on as it was so high up! There were NO instructions of how to use some of the equipment.Written instructions would’ve been useful. In fact I turned the gas hob on to find it wouldn’t light. Again I contacted the host to be told that the gas cylinder on terrace needed to be turned on. I was not happy at all to do this as I felt that again, this could’ve been a H&S issue. As a result my friend did turn it on. Then only two of the gas hobs worked. There was a loud buzzing noise in the wall when the air conditioner was being used The seating areas were in the apartment was not conducive to being sociable with everyone. The bannister came off in my friend’s hand and she nearly fell down the stairs. There was an awful ‘onion’ smell in the en-suite to left of the corridor. We could not shut the window as it as too high. No luggage racks, had to put case in the entrance hall. We were surprised that there was no kettle (hence having to use the gas hob) or any kitchen towels/tea towels etc. The only other time I heard off the host was to ask me to leave the tourist tax on the table. To conclude, the apartment lacked any character. It was tired and jaded, it was bare, lacked comfort and basic. We would not recommend this apartment

  Nice appartment

  Very nice apartment with an excellent rooftop terrace. The apartment is bright and clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. Two showers are great. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the old town.

  Unloading the car and finding parking can be a bit complicated. Parcheggio Porta Catania is an option, but it is quite expensive. The apartment itself feels somewhat neglected. Only one of the three AC remote controls was available, several light bulbs needed replacing, and there were only three drinking glasses in the kitchen. Basic items such as dish towels and a washing-up sponge were also missing. Some of the furniture is showing its age. Cushions for the outdoor seating, as well as an outdoor table, would also make the terrace much more comfortable and enjoyable.
