    Very interesting and relaxing weekend away

    We stayed in Sycamore cottage and loved it.!! It was clean and comfortable. In a very quiet rural area but with easy access to Whitby and other areas of interest. Lots of places to walk the dog and ourselves too nearby

    Excellent location, quiet but nearby to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Very comfortable beds.

    Hot water for showers wasn't always available.

    Do not book this dirty spider infested cottage.

    We booked this cottage for a birthday celebration. It was dire. Dark, damp and dreary. The place was filthy and full of massive spiders 🕷. There were throws and pillows all over the sofas and beds. Upon removing them, the cloth sofa was covered in dog hairs. There was no dishwasher as advertised and no outdoor dining area. The garden chairs were fit for the tip. Rusty and unusable. There was a rusty bbq on the floor! We refused to stay in the cottage and found alternative accommodation in a local village. We did call the letting agent Cara, who was rude, in denial and shouting at me. Our booking was cancelled and we received a refund 5 days later. The cottage is surrounded by trees. There are no nice views from the windows. The garden is non-existent. The outside is covered in cobwebs. Please look at all the pictures before you book.
