  Basic and terrible communication

  This property was handy to reach Pen Y Fan. That’s probably the only positive.

  On arrival to the property we’d bought dinner items, cooked dinner and quickly realised there was only one bench. The other one was broken so we had to sit with dinner on our laps! Also there were only 3 forks and we were a party of 4 so had to use a spoon to eat dinner🤯 I contacted the letting company who said they’d sort it during our stay but nothing was. The stairs are so dangerous, not only being really steep they are broken, sloping backwards and sideways. I slid down the top ones more than once! To top it off they charged us £50 for the dog to stay for 2 nights. That is extortionate considering the place wasn’t particularly clean from the last occupants. They’d left a their rubbish - recycling included out the front of the property. It states you should despise of this yourself. The beds are like camping beds. The street is noisy. I’ve contacted the letting company about the issues we had and now they are not replying. I would not recommend this place to anyone for the price.

  Cosy NYE retreat

  Customer service was great, when we called with issues with the TV they gave us money to go buy a new TV for the place that we picked up whilst visiting Cardiff on our second day. For the price we got a lot of space. They give you full control of the heating in the rear bedroom cupboard and provide a ton of bedding and blankets, which is great because this is a cold house. Kitchen appliances were nice and easy to use. The location was great for exploring South Wales (30 mins drive to Beacons and Cardiff) and had some stunning views of the valley. The pet fee felt reasonable, and we felt the house itself was great for our dog.

  Kitchen was not well equipped for cooking in terms of utensils/basics (no salt & pepper, cooking oil, no pot lids) The garden was not secure for our dog (missing fence panel). The otherwise clean bathroom had a grimy dent in the shower wall and felt very cramped (better for couples and short stays). There is not much to do in the immediate area and the on street parking was very competitive. Despite this I'd stay here again.
