Would have given it 4.5 stars. Positives: - location and the beach - the room is large, spacious and captures the Andaman ethos well - great activities especially forest walks etc Key areas of improvement: - the quality of food is poor for a Taj both in terms of overall assortment and taste - attention to detail is missing for a Taj both- they gave us a very warm welcome with a property song.

A slice of heaven on earth
Taj Andamans is like a slice of heaven. Enveloped in nature, breathing pure air and the blue beach at your feet, detoxes you as well as energises you. The staff are on another level. They pamper and make you feel so very comfortable. The cocktails are top notch and the ice creams beat the Italian gelato. A must visit. Thank you Taj.

In the lap of nature and luxury
Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans is the best place to be in the Havelock Islands. It is right on Radha Nagar beach and offers a place in both the lap of nature and luxury. Each cottage is spacious and has an outside sitting area. One can watch the diverse birdlife in the area from the foyer itself during mornings. The resort also offers many curated experiences, such as stargazing and tidal pool walks, where one can see many species of marine life. My kids especially loved the two activities. The naturalists and the stargazers are very proficient and enjoy their work. They also have many in-house activities for kids to keep them occupied between beach hopping. We dined at both restaurants, Turtle House and Shoreline and both served excellent and tasty meals. I also liked the hotel's endeavor to include local delicacies cooked by local women in the breakfast buffet. I especially commend the Taj group's thought for sustainability while developing a resort in this area, as most of the primary forest (trees with giant buttresses) in the area has been retained while designing rooms and restaurants
