    An amazing stay in the mountains

    We had a great 4 night stay at Guras Kutir. All the staff were amazing and looked after us really well. The property is beautiful with every room facing the Himalayas. We were fortunate to have spectacular views of Kanchenjunga on 3 days from our room. Staff made sure they rang us every time it came into view. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was served on the terrace facing Kanchenjunga - it was an amazing experience. Food was brilliant. Chef Nishant served us his specialties every morning, which were fabulous. We ate at the restaurants on 3 nights. Manager Sanioy made sure we were well looked after and the rest of the staff were always on hand to serve us. On my birthday they went over themselves to make sure I felt special. The drinks at the lounge were also great. When one of us wasn’t feeling very well staff made him a special drink to soothe his tummy, which was very sweet of him. We went for a hiking trip with Rahul, who is the most jovial person we have met. He told us stories of the land and showed us all the lovely plants that grow in the mountains, sang songs to keep us entertained while making sure we were safe. It was a beautiful experience. The spa experience was also amazing. It was so relaxing to use the jacuzzi which has views of the mountains on all 3 sides. I had a massage at the spa which was brilliant. The staff made sure it was catered to my liking and kept me comfortable and relaxed. The evening ritual was beautiful, we felt so serene and relaxed after attending it. Overall an amazing experience at the Taj Guras Kutir. We would highly recommend staying here if visiting Gangtok. It is well worth the 6 hour drive from Bagdogra airport - a blissful piece of heaven that you should not miss.

    Location - view from the room was beautiful, very warm and welcoming staff, Food was amazing too with varied restaurant options, Rooms - spacious and very clean (we had booked the luxury Mountain View room).

    Everything was spot on!
