The Kids Wanted to Stay—Our Stomachs Wanted Dinner
During our stay at 悅華大酒店, I overheard another guest describe it as “a budget-friendly version of The Westin Tashee,” and I thought that was a fitting comparison. Most of the facilities are fairly basic, but there is plenty to keep children entertained: a swimming pool, a kids’ electric-car driving area, a carousel, and a small Ferris wheel. Our kids could happily spend the whole day playing—their schedule was busier than ours! Our package included three meals, which added to the overall value. For families whose priority is keeping the kids entertained, and who are comfortable with simpler facilities, I think it is a worthwhile option.
The main inconvenience during our stay was the lack of dinner service, which meant going out to eat. There was a late-evening meal at 8 p.m., but that felt a little late for a family with children. Their batteries might last all day; their stomachs are a different story. It would be great to have a dinner option at the hotel. It does not have to be a buffet—a simple à la carte menu would work well. Being able to eat on-site would make the stay more convenient and round out an otherwise enjoyable family experience.
