    Advertised photos don’t represent the reality so couldn’t stay

    Initially was the smell when entering, musty and a kind of smoke smell. Biggest concern was the mould… in the corner of the bedroom,on curtains in both bedrooms and in the bathroom. Fire has a safety sticker across it not to use and there is a burn mark on the wall above it. Walls, radiators and doors dirty and cracked in places. Badly stained seating with cushions and curtains dishevelled like no care had been made to make it look welcoming. The cutlery drawer had been repaired by using cello tape to stick it back together which could easily fall apart onto your feet when you open it. Due to it being unhealthy to sleep around mould especially with a little grandson who has respiratory problems we contacted booking com immediately to tell them of the problems and that we couldn’t sleep there as the problems here have no quick resolution and we needed to find a bed for 3 little children as it was nearing their bed time. After a stressful long conversation with them we left not knowing if we would get a refund but thankfully we did after a few hours.
