Quiet Luxury
From the minute you enter the grounds you feel calm., escape the noise and stress of everything “outside world” It is beautiful, patient and lets you find your flow. The welcome, the reception, the pool, the golf buggy, the rooms, the restaurant is all just so lovely. You hear the sounds of the bush around you and all its wildlife just doing their thing. Jeewan the guest relations is just magical. He reads you well and takes care of everything, thinks before you, so you don’t have to, this is real quiet luxury. The heart & soul behind the villas and the grounds is a visionary. My advice is you are in two minds, just book it. You won’t regret it.

Five star luxury in the heart of the jungle
This is a five star luxury resort that feels like an extension on the national park. Preneeth, the hotel manager does an incredible job of running the villas and also accompanies some of the safaris. He is so kind and gentle and genuinely loves his job and his love for the wildlife is so beautiful to see. Jeewan makes sure that you are always fed and have a gin and tonic in hand. The staff , food and service are all excellent. It’s hard to sometimes leave the villas with the monkeys playing by the pool and all of the delicious meals. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. I did a lot of research on which parks to visit and Wilpattu was a winner. We saw lots of elephants , monkeys , peacocks 🦚, crocodiles and deer. On the last evening we celebrated our birthdays and the staff organised a surprise dinner for us beside the river. We were joined by a big male elephant swimming and eating right beside us.
